4th December 2009 - In an email to All Age Gaming this morning, SEGA Australia informed us that Aliens vs Predator has been Refused Classification in Australia. Yet another game has been refused here in Australia, will this ever end! Following on from our article (found HERE) the other day, which was about the rally in Brisbane tomorrow to fight for a R18+ game rating in Australia, this refusal of classification for AvP just shows how important it is for ALL Australian gamers to fight for our gaming rights. An official statement from a Sega rep said the following: "SEGA Australia can today confirm that the initial submission of Aliens vs Predator has been Refused Classification by the Classification Operations Board of Australia. We will continue to investigate all options available to us, including the possibility of appeal".
